Job Summary

Responsible for overall marketing of core market and segments. Contributes to and helps execute on strategic marketing plans to attract potential customers and retain existing ones. Works closely with area, sales, and core market leadership to customize marketing plans to achieve our business goals. 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Creates marketing plans to meet core market business goals. 
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams within Border States and key manufacturer partners to produce effective marketing campaigns and materials. 
  • Interacts with key manufacturers’ marketing representatives on a regular basis to collaborate on joint goals and planning.    
  • Utilizes Salesforce martech and other digital marketing channels to facilitate lead generation and campaign management. 
  • Maintains marketing calendar tracking events, campaigns, ads, sponsorships and other marketing activities. 
  • Prepares quarterly marketing activity reports for management and vendor review. 
  • Files and monitors claims for vendor and co-op dollars for core market, ensuring maximum return on activities.
  • Acts as lead for regional and national core market events. 
  • Schedules companywide promotions on digital screens throughout areas. 
  • Maintains brand standards throughout all activities, promotions, signage, events, and marketing tactics. 
  • Works to stay abreast of current trends in the industry.

Non-essential Functions

  • Travel as needed for industry events.
  • Assists in company public relations efforts seeking out potential news releases, social media content, and other opportunities within our branch locations.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or other designate.
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, or business-related field.
  • Strong working knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint). 
  • Experience with Salesforce and Pardot or other CRM and marketing automation platforms a plus. 
  • Ideal candidate has experience working with key manufacturers within our industry. 
  • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat) and other graphic software a plus. 
  • Cvent Event Management software experience a plus.
  • Web design, HTML, CSS, Premiere, Flash skills a plus.
  • B2B experience preferred.
