Job Summary
The Regional Services Specialist supports regional and branch leadership in evaluating and improving business strategies and sales processes for all service offerings, including material management, prefab, manufacturing, kitting, and emerging services. The position drives standardized service delivery processes and adherence to company strategies. The position helps branches in the region deliver Service Excellence accurately and efficiently to customers and promotes a strong customer-focused culture.
Responsibilities
Essential functions
- Advises branch leadership on service best practices and works with them to achieve targeted service KPIs within their locations.
- Supports enterprise initiatives, including software, process, policy changes, and service-related projects.
- Provides best practice guidance on service delivery, sales support, and customer engagement processes.
- Ensures best-in-class performance at all branches in service execution, order lifecycle management, and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Supports employees in city desk, inside sales, quotations, and branch service teams, emphasizing coaching, communication, and team development in alignment with corporate values.
- Supports branch managers of smaller locations without dedicated service leadership in enhancing daily service activities; scope of work varies by branch.
- Works with business process owners to provide training and follow-up on service best practices as needed within the region.
- Collaborates with all branch and support center departments to communicate goals and streamline service workflows.
- Works with necessary departments to develop solutions that ensure excellent customer service and operational efficiency.
- Supports the Regional Services team with implementation and training of new or enhanced technology related to service delivery and sales support.
- Maintains strong knowledge of all services offerings, sales processes, and customer engagement strategies.
Non-essential functions
- Assists regional services leadership in setting branch service goals and supporting branch achievement of those goals.
- May support branches outside the region on projects requiring additional services expertise.
- Helps resolve customer service issues, credit, and payment challenges as requested.
- Supports specific regional initiatives as needed, including service program development, customer engagement initiatives, and sales process improvements.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or designate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sales, marketing, technical, or business field preferred or equivalent work experience, required.
- 2+ years of prior work experience in service sales, service operations, or customer-facing solutions preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical, utility, industrial, or communication products and systems preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access), SAP, and other relevant software.
Skills and Abilities
- Technical understanding of service offerings, material management, prefab, manufacturing, and kitting processes.
- Knowledge of service delivery, sales processes, and customer engagement best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service mindset, including responsiveness, accuracy, and engagement.
- Ability to plan, organize, and implement service strategies effectively.
