Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Determine best technology practices to enable or magnify business processes.
- Research and recommend new solutions to enhance the value of business systems.
- Design and develop business requests, performing impact, systems and feasibility analyses.
- Adhere to Border States Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practice guidelines, standards, and application change management procedures.
- Determine standards, best practices and procedures for Applications Department.
- Work with development team or other interested parties through software products to diagnose performance issues and debug integrated software solutions.
- Implement large-scale projects, working with contractors and ensuring assigned duties are being performed.
- Research and recommend potential vendor solutions in order to provide formal recommendations to IT and Business Management.
- Review technology trends, best-in-class processes and innovations.
- Assess and address forecasted risks and changing technology environment related to software applications.
- Interface with REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, XSLT, XSD, Odata, and other similar technologies to design, map, configure, develop and test SAP integrated solutions using SAP Cloud Platform Integration toolsets.
- Work with the SAP Mobile Platform to support, maintain, and enhance hybrid mobile applications for signature capture.
- Develop and customize existing processes using ABAP and other SAP development tools and technologies, including: IDOC’s, dialog programming, user exits, ALV, BAPI’s, BADI’s, enhancements, RFC’s, reports (Classical and Interactive) SapScript, Smartforms, and Data Dictionary.
- Enhance SAP standard functionality leveraging standard enhancement framework consisting of user exits, BADI’s, and enhancements (implicit and explicit).
- Work with the following tools and technologies: ABAP, SAP Fiori, SAP Fiori Elements, HTML5, and JavaScript.
- Position allows work from home anywhere in the US. HQ located at 2400 38th St S., Fargo, ND 58104.
Qualifications
- The position requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related field.
- The qualified candidate must have at least 3 years (36 months) of experience in an SAP development position or closely related occupation.
- The qualified candidate must have at least 12 months of experience with all the following: a) Software development for the entire SDLC (including coding standards, code reviews, building processes, testing, and maintenance); b) ABAP programming; c) Creating and extending Fiori applications; d) Developing and customizing existing processes using ABAP and other SAP development tools and technologies; and e) Work with the following tools and technologies: ABAP, SAP Fiori, SAP Fiori Elements, HTML5, and JavaScript.
- All experience may be gained concurrently.
